Acupuncture

Acupuncture can ease, even cure, symptoms such as back pain, headaches, stress and more. Therapists insert fine acupuncture needles into various points along the body and leave them for a short time. Acupuncture is based on the idea of qi or vital energy, which is thought to move along energy pathways in the body, which are known as meridians. Acupuncturists believe health depends on the flow of this qi, which can be disturbed by many factors, physical and emotional. The idea is that fine acupuncture needles, inserted into these energy channels can release blockages and help restore our body's natural balance and energy flow. Acupuncture can be used for relaxation and also to clear and sharpen the mind.

Reflexology

Reflexology is wonderfully relaxing therapy based on the principle that reflex points on the soles, tops and sides of the feet are connected to corresponding areas throughout the body.  Reflexologists work on the reflexes with their thumbs and fingers using specialised massage techniques which helps correct imbalances throughout the body and helps to release blocked energy.  Reflexology helps to reduce stress and induce feelings of deep relaxation.  Energy levels are increased and the release of endorphins, the body's feel good hormones, which can also provide pain relief.  Circulation is improved and the more efficient removals of impurities and toxins.  The strength of the immune system is improved and a sense that the whole body is better balanced or in harmony. A sensation that can stay with you for a long time.  There are many conditions that can benefit from Reflexology including PMS, Sciatica, Sinusitis, Depression, Hormonal imbalance, aches and pains, stress-related conditions, panic attacks and ME.  It is the perfect way to boost your immune system and generate a wonderful sense of well being.  The session lasts one hour and fifteen minutes.

Reiki

An ancient hands-on form of healing which is deeply relaxing and rejuvenates mind, body and spirit.Reiki is effective at clearing blockages from the body's energy system and works in harmony with the innate ability of the body to heal and balance itself. It is roughly translated as healing energy, or universal life force energy, and is transferred through the hands of the Reiki healer to the client's physical and subtle bodies.

Reiki can help with a wide range of health problems and issues including anxiety, stress, bereavement, back pain, chronic fatigue, depression, infertility, fatigue, anxiety, feeling stuck, feeling run-down, high blood pressure, hyper-activity in children and other childhood complaints, hypo- and hyper-thyroidism, indigestion, insomnia, IBS, migraines, M.E., M.S., ovarian cysts, post-natal depression, post-operative care, rashes and other skin conditions, self-esteem issues, sinusitis, stress, worry or just a need for a bit of TLC.
